How we handle your data
This site was built by a builder, for builders. We have no interest in your data beyond what it takes to keep the lights on and the galleries running. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
esohousing.com is a non-commercial fan site for The Elder Scrolls Online housing community. We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the site - nothing more. There is no corporation behind this, no investors, no data monetisation strategy. Just one builder who wanted a proper home for ESO houses.
When you create an account or interact with the site, we may store the following:
We use essential cookies only - for login sessions and remembering your cookie consent preference. No third-party tracking cookies. No advertising pixels. No analytics services that follow you across the web. If you decline cookies, the site still works - some features like staying logged in between visits may require them.
Your data exists to make the site work: displaying your profile, showing your house listings, enabling community features like comments and collections. That is the entire list. We do not sell, share, rent, or transfer your personal data to any third party - and we never will.
All data is stored on secured servers with encrypted connections. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. We apply reasonable security measures to protect your information - but no system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. In the event of a data breach, affected users will be notified promptly.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. Account deletion permanently removes your profile, listings, and all associated data - no shadow profiles, no retained backups kept beyond what server logs require. Under GDPR and similar regulations, you also have the right to data portability and the right to withdraw consent.
This policy may be updated as the site evolves. If something significant changes, we will communicate it clearly through the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance - but we are not in the business of sneaking in terms. If it matters, you will know about it.
