Bleakrock

"Sergeant Seyne had been on the island eleven days and had already written the assessment nobody in Dhalmora wanted."

Hozzin's Folly held a Covenant contract, a cracked rune ward, and behind it an Oblivion portal open long enough to be tidy. He closed it and kept the contract. In Skyshroud Barrow a ghost named Haldriin was clear about the necromancer. The letter he left was less clear. It named a date the island did not have.

The beacon was lit and the village burned anyway. Tillrani Snow-Bourne died at the gate holding it long enough for the tomb road to open. Fourteen villagers went out through Last Rest and onto the Wind-in-Sails. From the deck the island went small in the ordinary way islands do. He has recorded it without comment. There is nothing to add.
